A's ARE BACK ON THE ROAD

TEAM CONTINUES TO RECOVER FOLLOWING BUS FIRE

Things are progressing toward getting things back to a "normal" summer routine following the bus fire two weeks ago. During this period, storms producing large amounts of rain have forced some postponements of games and the team played a triple header Friday when the Ozark Generals were rained out of games on Thursday. Tonight's game with Chillicothe was postponed to be a double-header July 15...

A's BACK ON FIELD - after postponing Monday's game, the Clarinda A's were able to be back in action Wednesday night as they hosted the FCA Grays for a MINK League game. It was a sponsored night by the Clarinda Chamber of Commerce and although the crowd was not as large as expected due to tornado watches in the area, a good time was had by all, especially the young athletes who were drawn to run bases against one of the A's players (see photos HERE). Drawings were also held during the evening, courtesy of local merchants. Due to lightning and approaching storm system the game was suspended after 9 inning tied 11-11...

For those of you who have generously offered to assist the team during this extremely trying time for the organization, here are some details on how to help out.

An account has been established at Page County Federal Savings Association in Clarinda to accept donations for the replacement of the items lost in the fire.
