Clarinda A's will hold their 35th annual Hall of Fame banquet Saturday, January 9 at the Clarinda Academy Activities Center. Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, former A's player, who played professionally with the San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals and Von Hayes, also a former A's, who played with Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Phillies and California Angels will be at the event to sign autographs and participate in a Q&A session. In conjunction with the banquet there will be a silent auction of sports memorabilia, recognition of the youth traveling teams and the high school team, as well as induction of five new members into the Hall of Fame. Doors will open at 4:30 for those wishing to view the auction items, autograph session will begin at 5:30, followed by dinner and the program. Advance tickets for the event are $20 for adults and $16 for students K-12. At the door they will be $25 and $20. Reserved seating will be done as paid reservations are received.
