Clarinda A's Baseball

(Clarinda) -- Chillicothe pounded out 16 hits to edge Clarinda, 8-7, on Wednesday night.

The A's struck for three runs in second inning, but Chillicothe answered with six in the third and never trailed the rest of the way.

Kale Emshoff had a big night for the A's, hitting two home runs and driving in five to lead the way. Mojo Hagge added two hits, and Mondesi Gutierrez chipped in one hit and scored three runs.

Cam Bednar took the loss, allowing seven runs (three earned) in five innings of work.

The A's dropped to 7-6 overall and 4-5 in MINK League play while Chillicothe won their seventh straight game to move to 9-2 and 5-2.
