(Clarinda) -- A seven-run fifth inning helped Jefferson City take an 11-5 win over the Clarinda A's on Saturday night.
The A's scored two runs each in the first and second innings to open an early lead, but the Renegades answered with the seven spot and followed with three in the sixth and one in the seventh.
Danny Mitchell doubled among three hits and scored two runs to lead the A's offense, while Nebraska's Mojo Hagge had a triple, a single and an RBI in his A's debut.
Mondesi Gutierrez smacked his first home run of the season and drove in two.
Garrett Herrmann started and threw four shutout innings before running into trouble in the fifth. He gave up two runs on four hits and two walks and struck out five.
The A's (6-4) are off on Sunday before returning to action Monday at Sedalia. They will be back home again on Wednesday against Chillicothe.
