Clarinda A's Baseball

The Clarinda A's concluded the 69th season 33-16, falling to the Mustangs in the final game of the Championship Series.  The A's had an incredible season and we thank every player, house parent, worker, and supporter for the time that they dedicated to our program. 

The A's put up some impressive stats over the course of the summer.  Sean Bazmore (.371) and Khi Holiday (.369) lead the MINK League in hits.  The A's also held four of the five leaders of RBI's in the league with Bazmore (47), Drake Cobb (46), Joey Caruso (38), and Conner McKnatt (31).  The top three spots for stolen bases were held by Tyler Macon (39), K Holiday (37, and Bazmore (33).  Pitcher Jose Calcano was fifth in the league with an ERA of 5.09, and second in the league with 5 wins alongside teammate Luke Spencer. 

Congratulations to Sean Bazmore, who was named MINK League Player of the Year. Other players selected to the MINK All-League Team include: Joey Caruso, Khi Holiday, and Jose Calcano.  2nd team honors were awarded to: Mark Henderson, Layth Holiday, Noah Benevides, and Luke Spencer.
