A’s cap off Baseball Day with win over Strike Zone

Clarinda improved to 17-9 on the season Saturday, June 29, as the A’s posted a 6-1 win over the Omaha Strike Zone in the final game of the 53rd Annual Clarinda A’s Baseball Day festivities held at Clarinda City Park.

Shortstop Blake Trahan helped lead the Clarinda attack Saturday with two hits, two runs scored and one run batted in.

Clarinda also traveled to Omaha Friday, June 28, and collected a 6-5 win over the Diamond Spirit. With that win the A’s increased their MINK League record to 14-9 and maintained a one game lead over the Chillicothe Mudcats in the North Division standings.

A series of scheduling changes have also been announced for the A’s. The games set to be played July 4 and July 6 have been cancelled. Clarinda will also host a doubleheader against the Ozark Generals Saturday, July 13, starting at 6 p.m. The Sunday, July 14, game against the Generals will start at 2 p.m.
