(Clarinda) -- The Clarinda A's avenged a July 3rd loss with an 8-3 MINK League victory over the Sedalia Bombers on Sunday evening.
Clarinda opened up an early lead by scoring three in the second, two in the third and two in the fifth for winning pitcher Jarrid Garcia. Garcia ended up going 5 2/3 innings, giving up three earned runs on seven hits and four walks and five strikeouts.
Keith Cormier had a big night, finishing 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and a RBI while Mason Paxton was 2-for-4 with three RBI. Bud Britt had a solo homerun among his three hits and scored three runs.
The A's won their second consecutive game since their 4th of July Eve loss to the Bombers to move to 20-11 overall and 17-11 in the league. Clarinda will host the St. Joe Mustangs Monday evening at 7:00 PM before hitting the road to take on Nevada Tuesday night.
