(Clarinda) -- The Clarinda A's won for the third straight time on Monday evening, picking up an 11-2 MINK League win over the St Joe Mustangs.

The A's pounded out 12 hits behind the stellar pitching of Jake Meloche, who pitched six shutout innings and allowed just two hits while striking out five Mustangs to get the win.

Offensively, Dominick Francia and Tommy Hager finished with three hits apiece and Mason Paxton drove in three runs.

The A's did all their scoring between the fourth and eighth innings, including three in the fifth and four in the eighth.

Clarinda is now 21-11 overall and 18-11 in MINK League play. The win over the Mustangs opens up a 2.5 game advantage in the Northern Division. The A's will travel to Nevada to meet the Griffons on Tuesday night before returning home for a home contest with the Omaha Diamond Spirits.
