(Clarinda) -- Despite losing a six-run lead in the ninth, the Clarinda A's came out victorious in MINK League action on Monday night with an 8-7 walk-off win over the Saint Joseph Mustangs.

Tommy Hager's bases-loades sacrifice fly in the ninth inning scored pinch-runner Cory Raley and the A's picked up a big win to move three games ahead of the Mustangs in the MINK League's Northern Division with just five games remaining.

The A's actually led 7-1 heading into the ninth inning, behind the teriffic pitching of Tei Vanderford. However, the Mustangs rallied for three off Vanderford and three off two A's relief pitchers in the ninth to tie the game.

Clarinda didn't waste time in the bottom half, as Bud Britt led off with a double and Dean Long reached on a single after a Keith Cormier intentional walk to load the bases for Hager's game-winner.

Hager had a whale of night, finishing 4-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored while D'Marco Poindexter also had four hits, two runs scored and two RBI. Cormier was 3-for-4 with four runs batted in and a run scored in the win.

The A's will travel to Chillicothe on Tuesday night.
