Clarinda A's Baseball

(Clarinda) -- The Clarinda A's are the MINK League champions.

The A's routed Nevada 9-1 in Game 2 of the best 2-out-of-3 MINK League Championship Series in Clarinda on Friday evening.

The A's scored three in the first and added three more in the second to jump out 6-0 in their ninth consecutive win.

Blake Trahan and Nick Thurman had three hits each while Jake Meloche pitched six shutout innings on the hill giving up three hits and one walk while striking out six.

The A's advance to the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita. The A's will play their first round game of Championship Week on Friday or Saturday of next week.
