(Wichita) -- The Clarinda A's ran their winning streak to 11 games on Sunday afternoon with a 5-0 win over the Valley Center (KS) Diamond Dawgs. More importantly, they moved on in NBC World Series play.

The A's, who beat the San Diego Force on Saturday to open the tournament, scored a run in the first, one in the fourth and three in the sixth on their way to the win.

Jake Meloche threw seven scoreless and three-hit innings to get the win. He struck out four and walked three.

Dean Long continued to stay red hot at the plate, contributing three hits and three runs batted in one day after a 5-for-5 performance. Blake Trahan also had two hits while Bud Britt and Keith Cormier each drove in a run.

The A's will meet either the Santa Barbara Foresters or the Wellington Heat on Tuesday at a time to be determined.
