(Wichita) -- The Clarinda A's fell to two-time defending NBC World Series champions Santa Barbara on late Tuesday night, 3-0. The A's, with the loss, are still among the final six teams and will play on Thursday at a time to be determined against a team to be determined.
The A's were only able to muster four hits against a trio of Foresters pitchers, spoiling a nice outing by Bobby LeWarne. LeWarne went seven innings and gave up three runs on four hits while striking out two and walking one.
Despite the loss, the A's will still be among the final six teams in the tournament, but they will not know their opponent until the completion of Wednesday's games.
