(Clarinda) -- D'Marco Poindexter raced home on a fielder's choice to give the Clarinda A's a 6-5 walk-off win over the Omaha Strike Zone on Friday evening.
The run culminated a wild last three half-innings that saw the A's take a lead, blow a lead and then get the walk-off victory.
In the eighth inning, with the two teams tied at 4, Danny Matienzo drove in Harrison Duncan on a sacrifice fly to left field to give the A's the lead. However, the Strike Zone answered with a run in the ninth to set up Poindexter's heroics in the bottom half.
Matienzo and Poindexter each had two hits apiece with the former driving in two runs. Ethan Mohan also drove in two runs on the evening.
The A's are now 6-4 overall and 1-3 in the MINK League.
