(Clarinda) -- The Clarinda A's made a four-run rally in the 8th inning, but that was one run short as Clarinda fell to St. Joe 5-4 on Sunday evening.
The Mustangs jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and added single runs in the second and seventh innings before Clarinda's rally.
DMarco Poindexter had three hits to lead the A's while the bottom third of the order drove in all the runs.
Also, over the weekend the A's lost twice to Chillicothe 8-1 on Saturday and 7-2 on Friday. The A's are currently 10-13 overall and 5-11 in the MINK League.
Clarinda is off on Monday then play a home-and-home with Chillicothe on Tuesday and Wednesday with Wednesday evening's game being in Clarinda.
