(Springfield) -- The Clarinda A's and Ozark Generals split a doubleheader in Springfield on Thursday evening. The Generals took the first game 2-1, but Clarinda came back with a dominant 13-2 win.

In game one, the Generals scored single runs in the third and fifth innings while Clarinda struck just once in the fourth.

Tony Davidson took the tough-luck loss on the mound, throwing six innings and allowing just two runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out two.

Zack Belanger and Colin Butkiewicz had two hits each for the A's.

The nightcap saw the A's explode for 13 runs on 15 hits. They scored two in the first, five in the second, three in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the sixth while also taking advantage of four General errors.

Edwin Kraber threw four innings, scattered five hits and two walks while allowing two runs and striking out two.

Mondesi Gutierrez had three hits, drove in a run and scored once while Steve Pico Jr., Connor Hall and TJ Lockett each had two hits and drove in two apiece.

Dakota Woods had just one hit, but he walked once and scored a team-high three runs.
