(Chillicothe) -- A five-run seventh inning lifted the Clarinda A's to a 6-5 win over Chillicothe on Tuesday evening.
The A's (9-7) scored all five of those seventh inning runs with two outs. Clayton Daniel had an RBI single, but it was Zack Belanger's grand slam home run that proved to be the difference.
Daniel led the offense on the night with three total hits and scored twice, while Collin Butkiewicz and Steve Pico Jr. also had two hits.
The big seventh made a winner out of Dylan Algra, who threw three shutout innings in relief and gave up just one hit. Justin Hoyt earned the save with a perfect ninth that included two strikeouts.
The A's will play Chillicothe again on Wednesday night, but this one will be in Clarinda and begins at 7:00.
