(Carroll) -- The Carroll Merchants pounded out 20 hits and had five innings of scoring more than one run in a 15-6 rout of the Clarinda A's on Monday evening.
The A's used six pitchers with five of them giving up at least one run. Seven Merchants had hits and all seven had multiple hit games.
Lee Clark led the Clarinda bats with three hits and two RBI. Dillon Millar added two hits.
A three run inning that included three hits, a walk and an error brought the A's to within 7-4 in the top of the fifth, but Carroll quickly answered with four in the bottom of the frame.
The A's jump back into MINK League play at Sedalia on Tuesday.
